A) Eligibility criteria for membership.
i. Acceptance of the NMO's ideals and discipline. One can be member of NMO if one member of NMO proposes his or her name and another member seconds it.

MEMBERSHIP FEES :
The Life Membership Fee collected from the different categories of members will be as mentioned below:

Student membership will be valid upto registration from the medical council. On deposition of Rs. 1000/ (within 6 months of registration ) Student membership will convert into Doctor membership, otherwise it will cancel.
Modification in membership fees structure and it, regulation will be decided by NBB.
Rights And Privileges Of Members
Subject to the provisions of NMO a member shall have the following rights :
i. To vote on any proposal concerning the NMO which may be placed for consideration in a general or special meeting of the general body of the branch to which he belongs and;
ii. To elect or to be elected as member of the executive if eligible or any other committee, sub-committee constituted to regulate and help the activities of the branch or the area to which he belongs.
Duties Of A Member Towards NMO
Every member of the NMO shall have the following duties towards NMO :
i. He should participate in the programmes arranged by the branch and also attend the maximum number of meetings as far as possible;
ii. He must observe the decorum and maintain discipline in the programmes and meetings of the NMO;
iii. He must pay the annual subscription of the branch well in time but not later than the last date prescribed by the branch and;
iv. He must not act in any way, which may tarnish the image of NMO in the society.
Termination Of Membership
Membership may be terminated
i. By registration/death of the member.
ii. Owing to misconduct, mental incapacity or moral turpitude.
iii. Involvement in anti social, anti national or anti organizational activities
iv. Membership can be terminated by national president of NMO on recommendation of president of local unit. Decision of termination must be approved by general Body of the local unit.
v. The membership can be revoked if the concerned member rectifies his/her cause of termination and national president/secretary feels satisfied of the same.
